Past Chief Walter M. Kaufmann died at 65 years of age on September 02, 2001. Joined our ranks in November of 1963. Fire Chief 1969, 1970 Deputy Chief 1968 Assistant Chief 1967 Captain 1966 Lieutenant 1965 Walt was my dad and inspiration. He put his heart and soul into the Fire Service and I've tried to follow his example. I know that I've made him proud. Nothing more needs to be said.
