Here is a little bit of information about the author of this page. This picture is one of my favorite antique houses. It was taken in about 1906.
Speeding through cyberspace, landing in your terminal, providing my abbreviated biography for your perusal.
I was born and raised in the hamlet of Saint Remy, New York. It is located about five miles south of Kingston.
I graduated Kingston High School with honor and moved to Troy, New York where I studied Electrical Engineering (what else?) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
After living for a short time in the northern Capital District, I returned to Ulster County to teach Electrical Technology at Ulster County Community College.
At UCCC I taught courses in micro computer and microprocessor design, communications electronics, circuit analysis, and engineering oriented programming in assembler and Pascal. After about six years, the program was phased out due to "lack of funding". So much for politics.
I have been a full time computer networking instructor since Y2k.
In my spare time I am an amateur historian and genealogist and restore antique houses and automobiles. I am literate in both English and German, and can fake my way through some old Dutch and Latin.
From 1997 until 2002 I held the position of Fire Chief in the Saint Remy Volunteer Fire Department, and like to hike, spelunk, and rappel. The rest is a secret.
