On February 04, 1986 the United States Postal Service issued a new 22 cent first class stamp honoring Sojourner Truth. The First day cover was issued that day in New Paltz, New York.
If you look closely at the first day cover and the enlarged stamp below (note: this may not be visable with all browser/computer combinations) you will see a definite variation in ink color. This is not uncommon with postage stamps.
